Case:

Seaboard Management needed a material handling solution that could remove high-capacity generators for periodic maintenance effortlessly.

The generators power a Dominican Republic power plant that supplies electricity to many cities; aside from being efficient, they needed a system that would minimize any risk of damage to the generators.

Solution:

We designed a custom system that features a bridge crane with a 10T wire rope hoist and an auxiliary 3T electric chain hoist. The bridge crane works in unison with a 60T transfer cart which then moves the generators to a work station for maintenance.

Equipment Information:

Systems Type: Overhead Traveling Crane & Transfer Cart

Hoist Type: Wire Rope Hoist & Auxiliary Electric Chain Hoist

Capacity:

  • One 10 Ton Crane
  • One 10 Ton Wire Rope Hoist
  • One 3 Ton Electric Chain Hoist
  • One 60T Electric Transfer Cart
