A Jib Crane’s horizontal arm (jib or boom) is attached to a pivoting vertical pillar that is either building mounted or free standing.
Equipped with a hoist, a Jib Crane facilitates the lowering and lifting of a load within an arc of rotation (giving it additional lateral movement) or be fixed. Below are the basic types of Jib Cranes.
